Over 60 Chinese and international journalists and online celebrities participating in the nearly week-long tour of Hainan for representatives of international media organizations and social media personalities visited Sanya International Duty-Free City in Sanya city of Southeast China's Hainan province on November 28 to learn the development of the province's duty-free business and the construction of an international tourism consumption center.

Sanya International Duty-Free City was officially opened on September 1, 2014. It has a total construction area of about 120,000 square meters, with a commercial area of 72,000 square meters. As a high-end tourist retail complex, it integrates duty-free and duty-paid shopping, catering, entertainment, and cultural exhibitions. It is a unique and vibrant tourist retail destination in Hainan and a new window for the world to understand China's duty-free and tourist retail industry.

According to statistics, the Haitang Bay Duty-Free Shopping Center has introduced nearly 300 internationally-renowned brands and over 100,000 fashionable items. More than 10 brands, including Prada, Giorgio Armani, and Rolex, have entered the Chinese duty-free market for the first time. Top-tier perfume and cosmetics brands, such as Chanel, Dior, Estee Lauder, and Lancome, also launched their global flagship and concept stores in the tourism retail market for the first time. The abundant categories and brands can provide consumers with a wider range of choices, fully satisfying their shopping needs, and taking offshore duty-free shopping to a new level.
据统计,海棠湾免税购物中心共计引进了近300个国际知名品牌,超100000个时尚单品。其中,普拉达(Prada)、乔治阿玛尼(Giorgio Armani) 、劳力士(Rolex )等10多个品牌是首次进入中国大陆免税市场渠道,Chanel、Dior、Estee Lauder、Lancome等顶级品牌的香水化妆品旅游零售市场全球旗舰店、概念店也与消费者见面。丰富的品类、品牌能为消费者提供更多方面的选择,充分满足旅游购物的需求,也将离岛免税购物带上一个新的台阶。

In addition to enjoying the pleasures of tourism shopping, consumers can also experience a unique "flower tour" at the shopping center. The center's architectural design draws inspiration from the Haitang flower, which is also known as the "national gorgeous flower" for its beauty. Featuring a continuous space curved steel structure, the center is reminiscent of a gentle and charming Haitang flower blooming by the azure sea. Combining the five senses of commercial shopping, namely sight, sound, smell, touch, and appreciation, the overall design of the project consists of different themed pavilions of "sea, begonia, flower, and sea treasure", and the interior space design consists of a thoughtful combination of art and fashion.
