In 1076 AD
the 9th year of the Xining period (1068-1077)
of the Northern Song Dynasty
A middle-aged man wrote a well-known poem
called Prelude to Water Melody
after a party held on the Mid-Autumn Day
His name is Su Shi (1037-1101)
After 950 years
people may not be able to remember
what happened in the Song Dynasty (960-1127)
but they can memorize this poem
公元1076年
北宋熙宁九年
一名中年男子在中秋节的party后
写下了一首词，流传至今
名曰《水调歌头·明月几时有》
他就是苏轼
950年后
宋代的那些事儿
人们可能已经不记得了
但苏轼的这首词却广为流传
Men have sorrow and joy
they part or meet again
The moon is bright or dim and she may wax or wane
There has been nothing perfect since the olden days
So let us wish that man will live long as he can
Though miles apart, we'll share the beauty she displays
人有悲欢离合
月有阴晴圆缺
此事古难全
但愿人长久
千里共婵娟
How long will the full moon appear
Wine cup in hand
I ask the sky
I don't know what time of the year
it would be tonight in the palace on high
明月几时有
把酒
问青天
不知天上宫阙
今夕是何年

reunion, missing, the perfect conjugal bliss and so on
Prelude to Water Melody depicted
Su Shi's emotion for missing family members
and desire for family reunion
中秋节，古人赋予了太多情感
团圆，思念，花好月圆……
一曲《水调歌头》
表达了苏轼对亲人的思念
以及对团圆的渴望
Since ancient China
the full moon on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival
has been a symbol of family reunion in Chinese culture
Although the family members cannot be reunited
appreciating the same bright moon at the same time
is also a kind of reunion
千百年来
中秋之夜的圆月在中国传统文化中
一直都是家人团圆的象征
虽然亲人不在身边
但同一时间赏同一轮明月
也算是一种团圆吧
